We believe every person is created by God with unique gifts, passions, and experiences that can bless others. Serving isn’t just about filling a role in the church—it’s about discovering who God made you to be and joining Him in what He is already doing in the world.

As Paul writes, “We are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” (Ephesians 2:10)
That means every act of service—large or small—is part of God’s plan to show His love through us.

At Stavanger International Church, we encourage each person to Use Your Talents: to notice what you have in your hands and offer it for God’s purposes. When we serve with joy and gratitude, we help build a community where everyone belongs and contributes.

Jesus modeled this kind of leadership. In Lead Like Jesus, we learn that true leadership begins in the heart—through humility, compassion, and a desire to serve others rather than to be served. When we serve, we follow His example and reflect His love in practical ways.

There are many opportunities to get involved in the daily life of the church: worship, hospitality, children’s ministry, tech, music, prayer, and care. Each one is an expression of who we are as followers of Jesus—people called not out of obligation, but out of love.
